Scripture: “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus…” (Romans 8:1)
Prayer: God, forgive me for the sins I willingly commit against you and the people I know. Thank you for your grace, help me to not live with a sense of guilt and condemnation.
Reflection: The power to show grace to others comes from a constant reliance on God’s forgiveness for our own mistakes. When we cannot forgive others, it is a sure sign that we have stopped asking God for his grace.
Scripture: “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God” (Colossians 3:16)
Prayer: God, thank you for your Word, which directs me in all of my decisions. Forgive me of the times when I trust in other things more than your Word.
Reflection: How much influence do you have with the people you know? How are you helping them grow closer to God? What’s keeping you from seeing yourself as a teacher and “admonisher” of others?
